Evidence-first AI tool guides
How task2ai works
task2ai is an independent guide to AI tools, organized by task rather than by vendor. Every guide compares the tools that solve one job — and every fact in it was read from the vendors' own pages, not from directories, reviews or training data. This page explains the method, because the method is the product.
Where the facts come from
For each tool we read up to five of the vendor's own pages: home, pricing, features, about and terms. Each read is retrieval-verified — if we cannot confirm the live page was actually fetched, the result is discarded and the page is re-read by a different route. Nothing is taken from third-party listings or from a model's memory.
The evidence gate
A claim is published only with a verbatim quote from the vendor page it came from, linked to that page. Quotes are re-checked against the stored page text; a sentence that cannot be verified never appears in a guide. A dash in our tables means the vendor does not state it — silence is reported as silence, never filled in with a guess.
Prices, cancellation, refunds
The facts readers act on with money get the strictest rule: a price, cancellation route or refund window without a citation is dropped, not estimated. Every guide states the date each vendor's pages were read, and quotes stay in their original language so you can check them word for word.
What we don't do
No sponsored placements, no affiliate links, no pay-for-ranking. A vendor cannot buy a position in a guide — submitting a tool only queues it for the same reading pipeline as every other domain. We record what tools cost and how to leave them; we do not collect or publish personal data about the people behind them.
